Welcome to ministries of mercy
'Ministries of Mercy' is the collective name for a growing number of projects providing practical help and support to the community of London. The projects are run by various churches from within the Co-Mission network. The name 'Ministries of Mercy' comes from the parable of the good samaritan. Jesus tells us to be like the good samaritan, who provided shelter, finances, medical care and friendship to the man he came across in need on the Jericho road.
We are therefore committed across the Co-Mission Initiative to
supporting and equipping the church family to respond to the
different needs of those we come across, whether they be on
our doorstep or on the other side of the world. In this way we aim to
demonstrate God's love for all people, even those in desperate
circumstances or on the margins of society, who are made in His image.
Underpinning all our
projects is a desire that our practical acts of love extend to
meeting people's deepest need of reconciliation with God. Therefore
in all our endevours we aim, where appropriate and without coercion, to
communicate the
gospel of Jesus Christ.
